To   Balestrate  Town of about 6000 inhabitants , located between Palermo and Trapani in the middle of the beautiful Gulf of Castellammare. A place characterized by the presence of the sea with crystal clear water. Three kilometers of fine golden sand beaches. Thanks to the strategical position, you can reach many historical sites and places of interest such as: Segesta, Erice, Scopello, Zingaro Natural Reserve, Castellammare Gulf and many others.   In  “baglio”   Sicilian " bagghiu " .Nineteenth-century building square, made of stone and mortar, without any exeternal openings aimed just in the courtyard, paved with slabs of stone and pebbles; a large door is the only way out.   In 1835, the Englishman John Woodhouse turned the beam in wine cellar ( there was produced an excellent marsala, the first Italian wine DOC ).   In 1954 it was inaugurated the ' Arena  Olimpo’  and the  following year as an indoor-cinema.   In 2003 we hosted the Orchestra of the Theatre Massimo of Palermo, playing music by Mozart, Bach and Strauss.
